It does so by creating new incentives for industries to avoid and minimize impacts, and for private landowners and public land managers to preserve, enhance, and restore habitat.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nevada has committed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/growingreturns\/2015\/12\/11\/2-million-available-for-nevada-landowners-to-earn-revenue-through-sage-grouse-pilots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">$2 million<\/a>\u00a0to fund the first round of pilot projects, which will be awarded to land managers, namely ranchers, on private and public lands.
