# (Update) TCEQ Buckles On Oil &amp; Gas Rules Under Pressure From Industry

[Last week we lamented about the TCEQ’s capitulation to industry pressure on proposed rules dealing with emissions from oil and gas facilities. ](http://blogs.edf.org/texasenergyexchange/2011/01/28/tceq-buckles-on-oil-gas-rules-under-pressure-from-industry/)

[State Representative Lon Burnam ](http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/member-page/?district=90)provided us with a [sampling of documents showing the influence exerted by industry ](http://blogs.edf.org/texascleanairmatters/files/2011/02/Key-TCEQ-PBR-docs-from-PIR.pdf)during the tail end of the process. These are just a smattering of the roughly five reams of paper his office received in response to a public information request.
