{"id":191,"date":"2009-08-26T11:44:21","date_gmt":"2009-08-26T18:44:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/edfish\/?p=191"},"modified":"2009-08-26T11:48:09","modified_gmt":"2009-08-26T18:48:09","slug":"kempsridley-comeback-part-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/edfish\/2009\/08\/26\/kempsridley-comeback-part-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Kemp\u2019s Ridley Comeback (Part II)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/edfish\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/2009\/08\/kempsridley-lg.jpg\" alt=\"Kemps ridley sea turtle\" width=\"125\" height=\"90\" align=\"left\" \/>Earlier this summer <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/edfish\/2009\/06\/03\/kemps-ridley-sea-turtle-rebound-a-short-history\/\" target=\"_self\">I reported on the revival<\/a> of the Kemp\u2019s Ridley sea turtle, the smallest of all the sea turtles, which I\u2019m happy to report has now had another record breaking nesting year! 197 nests have been spotted along the Texas coast and more could still be discovered, though August typically marks the end of the turtles\u2019 nesting season.
