Dominique Browning, an author, journalist and part-time columnist for Environmental Defense Fund, wrote an excellent piece last Thursday on her EDF blog, Personal Nature. In "Connect the Dots", she drew linkages between the continuing oil spill off coastal Louisiana, the severe weather and flooding earlier this month in Tennessee, and the challenge of addressing climate change.
It's very timely, as ongoing hearings about the Deepwater Horizon explosion in Louisiana and Washington, D.C. are taking place while Senators John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) prepare to introduce their climate and energy bill tomorrow in the Senate. Take a moment to visit Personal Nature and read some of her other posts on environmental advocacy and everyday life.
