The latest on the climate bill

E2 reports on yesterday’s democratic caucus meeting.

“Reid said the caucus is firmly behind passing “clean energy” legislation that helps the economy and national security and responds to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.”

Reid also explained that

“there were a number of discussions today as to how we can arrive at what’s best for the country, and of course pricing carbon is part of our discussion.”

Also on E2, Senators Kerry and Lieberman

met with several high-ranking corporate executives on Thursday to build momentum for their legislation….The CEOs argued that capping carbon emissions would create an economic incentive to pursue renewable energy technologies and create green jobs in the United States.”
