It's so great to see these concepts gaining widespread appeal. Shorebank's been doing this for 35 years and is currently developing green-sector small businesses in Chicago's South Side. It's a bank with billions of dollars in capitalization, but it keeps its nose to the ground to see where its lending can make the greatest difference in people's lives. A key philosophy is that the bank's money be put to responsible use (from a social and environmental standpoint).
