Yep, indeed these plastic bottles are a huge problem to the environment. But what if we turn it all around and make a good thing out of the bad thing by simply adopting the idea to create solid ground? Solid ground in form of an island that can easily be greened with mangroves and similar plants in a considerably short time and for very little money. Crazy? Nuts? ... not at all; it has all been done before!! This is an amazing idea and i sure hope the word spreads fast and the idea will be picked up and further developed! And maybe there is a sponsor around for the energy problem, who knows?...

For those of you who understand German language, here are some more details and pictures about this incredible plan that is going on in Koh Tao Thailand right now! http://www.kohtao.ch/center-island

My wife and I did our part and bought a IonWays water ionizer. Now no more plastic bottles in the recycler each week. We also bought SIGG water waters which are very cool to carry our water with us on the go. Check out http://www.ionways.com/default.aspx?UserName=monika

This is a great topic. What I know about polycarbonate and BPA is that for several years this issue has been studied by the government and private researchers. Most concur that BPA can disrupt the hormonal system but there is a wide difference of opinion between scientists as to whether or not a health risk is posed by the small amount of BPA that might migrate from a polycarbonate container into whatever food or liquid the polycarbonate contains.
So I understand the concern for most people, but why has the controversy resurfaced now? [[advertising link removed]]
